What is the advantage of having the right information available to all involved – anywhere, anytime – during the design, realization and operation of a cleanroom? The answer is simple: the design phase is faster and the coordination between all those involved during realization is better. Cleanroom builder SRBA CE is therefore introducing QR-LINK for controlled environment facilities in its BIM model. To the full satisfaction of all users.
Robert de Wolff, Sales Manager SRBA Group explains, “We work within SRBA CE from now on with QR LINK, a new online system with which we provide our product information in an integral manner. All documents are secured in this. The great advantage is that the prescribing market, such as architects, engineering firms and all other persons involved in the realization and use of a cleanroom or laboratory facility, have up-to-date insight into the BIM (Building Information Model).’
In QR LINK, for example, you can find all the information about a specific door. By scanning the QR code on the door you get direct access to the intellectual properties such as PDS sheets, detail drawings, test reports and maintenance and cleaning instructions, among others. Using QR codes is user-friendly and provides content quickly and clearly.
‘From the start of each project, we collaborate with all disciplines in a 3D Revit Model. The QR LINK program unlocks the information needed in the construction process for everyone, ensuring rapid development of the clean room concept. The result is ultimately better control of quality, time and money. Architects can easily use this new technology via the STABU specification system. The first reactions are very positive!” says De Wolff.
